Obituary for Jimmie M. Sisk

Jimmie M.  Sisk
Mr. Jimmie M. Sisk of Oil Trough, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the age of 87. He was born June 19, 1931 in Newark, the son of John Marvin and Della (Laster) Sisk. On January 4, 1958, he married Miss Patsy Sullivan, and together they spent 60 years.
Mr. Sisk was a self employed farmer, retiring in 2005 after 44 years. He was a United States Army veteran, and of the Methodist belief.
He loved working and gardening, and enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially in his younger years. Mr. Sisk found his greatest joy spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Mr. Sisk was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, John Hogan Sisk and Kenny Sisk.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patsy (Sullivan) Sisk of the home; two children, Karen Sisk of Oil Trough, and James David Sisk and wife, Ember, of Melbourne; three grandchildren, Cheyenne Cairns and husband, Rowan, of Batesville, Victoria Sisk of Melbourne, and Collin Sisk of Melbourne; two great grandchildren, Sawyer Cairns and Charlotte “Charlie” Cairns; one sister, Dorothy Williams of Independence, Missouri; five nephews, three nieces; many great-nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Friday at Maple Springs Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit at the cemetery, Friday 9:30 until service.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Randy Sisk, Shane Sisk, Trey Sisk, David Allen Pankey, Parmer Lee Hankins, Matt Cathey, and Mike Crutcher. Honorary pallbearers are Jackie Cook, Terry Brady, Wesley Goines, and Lynn Fuller.
