Obituary for Janice Moldan

Ms. Janice Evelyn (LeFlore) Moldan of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, November 5, 2018, at the age of 62. She was born March 19, 1956 in Tunica, Mississippi, the daughter of Jesse James and Frances Ellen (Raines) LeFlore.
Ms. Moldan enjoyed fishing, and making hot tamales. She loved animals, taking care of her home, and cooking for her family. Ms. Moldan was a loving, giving person, who would help anyone she could. She was retired from Sears & Roebuck, and a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church.
Ms. Moldan was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Melissa Koller; one sister, Love Joyce Schuster; and one brother, Gary Len LeFlore.
She is survived by one son, Randy Moldan of Augusta; three brothers, James “Sonny” LeFlore of Newport, Guy LeFlore and wife, Donna, of Burena, Texas, and Ernest LeFlore of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Zachary Moldan, Bobby Moldan, Jakob Moldan, Alex Moldan, Christian Brown, Jesse Brown, and Rose Brown; and a very special niece, Kelly Reed and husband, Timothy, of Newport.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jimmy Moore, Tad Crawley, Keith Thompson, Johnny Lowery, and Butch Welch. Honorary pallbearers are Zachary Moldan, Bobby Moldan, Jakob Moldan, Alex Moldan, Timmy Reed, Jason Busby, Christian Brown, Jesse Brown, Rose Brown, and Brian Newton.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Friday, 6:00-8:00 p.m., with Rosary Services at 7:30. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Watson Cemetery.
